What is Securis’ process for awarding a franchise?
Securis works hard to make sure that new franchisees are going to be a great fit for the brand, are going to enjoy what they do and are going to have a strong chance to succeed — and that’s why we follow a process to help you learn about us, and to help us learn about you, before awarding a franchise.
Here’s what the process looks like:
Step 1: You fill out a form on this site
Once you’ve learned enough about Securis and you are ready to learn even more, fill out one of the forms on this site. You’ll receive an email from us with an invitation to download our free franchise report — a document that explains our business model and opportunity in detail, and which you can email or print to share with friends, family or others who can help you decide if we’re the right opportunity for you.
We’ll also give you a call so that we can learn about you and ask some basic questions to ensure you are prepared to start a Securis franchise. Then we’ll schedule a call to talk about the business model.
Step 2: Business model overview
This is typically a 20-minute call in which we will share additional details about the Securis business model, and we will answer initial questions you may have about the business and franchise opportunity. It’s a great chance for you to get a feel for whether this is a business in which you would thrive.
Step 3: Webinar
We provide a deeper level of detail in a one-hour webinar. We host the webinars for franchise prospects three times a week, and cap the enrollment for webinars at five participants. That way, everyone has a chance to ask questions as we explore the various aspects of Securis’ business model, as well as the IT data destruction and electronics recycling industries.
Step 4: 1-on-1 review of potential territory
Prospective franchisees will now have the opportunity to discuss specific territories in-depth. This is a one-on-one conversation with a member of the Securis management team. What are the demographic drivers for the territory? Who are the target customers in the territory? If you and Securis are ready to move forward, we will then ask you to fill out a franchise application. This is not a contract — it is a tool we use to evaluate franchisees to help us bring on strong business partners who will strengthen the brand.
Step 5: Discovery Day
Next, we’ll invite you to a “Discovery Day” at our headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. You’ll get to meet our management team, will have a chance to explore our processing hub, and will learn about the systems and support that help franchisees.
Step 6: Review
One week after Discovery Day, franchise candidates are invited to participate in a call with the entire management team to discuss the opportunity and provide a pro forma review.
Step 7: Franchise agreement
When you are ready to sign the franchise agreement, we’ll visit you. It’s time to celebrate — and to get busy starting your business!
Step 8: Getting ready to open
We will work with you to identify warehouse space appropriate for your Securis franchise, and will provide checklists for you to follow as you work to get your business open — and we will be with you every step of the way. We provide weekly calls to go over checklist items and are also available for any questions and challenges you may encounter. Expect a lot of support — our goal is to help you open your business within 90 days from the time you sign the franchise agreement.
