Meet the Management Team
Who are the people who support Securis computer franchise owners?
President and Chief Executive Officer and Director
Jeremy Farber has been Securis President and CEO since our inception and has been the President and CEO of our affiliate, PC Recycler Inc., since May 2003. Farber started the “Securis” concept in 2003. Farber started buying and selling previously owned computers, but some of the old computer systems he obtained weren’t fit for resale. That was a problem, because Farber wasn’t about to toss these machines in a garbage bin. He knew that they contained hazardous materials, as well as precious metals, and needed to be recycled responsibly to protect the environment. Then he had an “a-ha!” moment. He would develop an environmentally sound recycling process. As he continued to grow his business, he realized that companies were desperate for a way to protect data when disposing of old machines. He developed a process for secure destruction of hard drives. Those two solutions provided the foundation for Securis. In 2007, Farber was appointed to the Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science eCycling Advisory Committee, chaired by Delegate Joe T. May and Senator Mamie Locke. In May 2008, Farber was chosen as one of Washington D.C.’s Bisnow Top 35 Entrepreneurs Under 35.
